It seems like the high ratings epic serye of GMA7 Amaya not only caters the Filipino audience, but also drawing interest from non English speaking countries like Malaysia and Indonesia.
I have seen some videos in the net with English subtitle.
This only means that the show is drawing public interest not just in the Philippines but in other foreign countries as well. The series tells the story of Amaya, a tribal princess born and destined to change a culture and society dominated by men. The Amaya premiered last May 28 and according to GMA7 it captured the no. 1 or 2 spot in Mega Manila paving the way for the whole Telebabad of GMA7 line-up to regain leadership in the TV ratings (this is based on AGB Nielsen). Furthermore, the show is being endorsed by the Department of Education (DepEd) and the National Commission for the Culture and the Arts (NCCA). If Korea, Japan and China produced countless historical/period dramas it's time for Filipinos to join the bandwagon.

Producing such type of series is really expensive so kudos to GMA7 for making the initiative in creating epic serye like this one.
